At Kong Sheds, we sell building materials for shed, garage, and related construction projects, giving local homeowners, DIY builders, and contractors another way to work with an experienced Shed & Garage Builder. Our experience building Custom Sheds and Custom Garages gives us firsthand familiarity with the materials that go into durable outdoor structures. Rather than approaching building materials only from a retail perspective, we understand how those products are actually used in shed and garage construction. That experience can be especially helpful when you are working on a backyard shed, storage building, garage, or Build-It-Yourself Shed Kit and need materials that fit the project. Kong Sheds uses a wide range of materials in our own shed construction, including LP SmartSide siding panels and trim, pressure-treated 2×6 wood, 2×6 16-gauge steel, tongue-and-groove 3/4-inch plywood flooring, engineered roof trusses, 7/16-inch OSB roof sheathing, architectural shingles, and heavy-duty doors. Material availability for individual sale can vary, so we encourage customers to contact us with a list of what they need. We can let you know what is currently available and help you determine whether we have materials suited to your project. We also sell several finishing materials separately in connection with our Shed Kits. These can include shingles, tar or felt paper, drip edge or flashing, and paint. These materials are not included with our standard pre-cut Shed Kits, which gives DIY customers the flexibility to purchase them separately based on the needs and finish of their project. Selling building materials is especially useful for customers who want more control over their project. You may already have a structure underway and need additional roofing materials. You may be assembling one of our Shed Kits and want to purchase the remaining finishing materials from the same place.
